World Beaters

                          Nico Rosberg
There's a certain undefined flavour of of joy that comes with finally attaining something you've spent a large part of your life chasing, that dream for finally saying yes, your first million, your first car and for many of us Nigerians, your father finally looking at you with admiration reserved for folks he regards as equal. And as expected, the reaction is generally the same, you stop 'tomcatting' and chasing other girls, you stop cashing in your all now you're a millionaire, you stop working so hard to make 'dad' even look at you.

So it's understandable that Nico Rosberg finally retires. The only son of former Formula 1 World champion, Keke Rosberg, Nico had probably looked up to that milestone for the past decade. In a vicious rivalry with multiple F1 World champion Lewis Hamilton who is also his Mercedes teammate, Nico always seemed to fall at the final hurdle, serially coming second to his talented teammate. Victory for persistence here as Nico finally clinched top spot in 2016. With the world beaten, Nico Rosberg can now shift focus to other parts of his life.
